The International Distribution Asset Management Study (IDAMS) serves as a peer-to-peer platform for DSOs, where participants from around the globe share best practices and join forces to accelerate their approach in navigating through the rapidly changing energy landscape. IDAMS is a study of Asset Management as a management discipline and assesses the full organizational context needed to perform asset management. World-class asset management correlates with superior operational performance.
The IDAMS program addresses the tactical dimensions of asset management, systematically evaluating performance within four critical domains: Operating Model, Processes, Competencies, and Information Management & Enabling Technology. In addition, the program conducts a comprehensive assessment of key figures and KPIs to determine the effectiveness of asset management in relation to operational performance.
Alongside this structured assessment, IDAMS also facilitates ongoing knowledge exchange through quarterly webinars. In preparation for these sessions, participants identify and define the most pressing industry topics, share their insights, and contribute to joint analysis. Each webinar culminates in selected peers presenting best practices, followed by open discussion with their counterparts, ensuring a dynamic and practical exchange of knowledge.
The program incorporates themes that are particularly relevant to DSOs today, such as:

Performance Benchmark & Compliance
Assess your organization’s asset management performance against peers using the ISO 55000 framework.
Strategic Improvement & Optimization
Gain clear insights to develop a roadmap for continuous improvement and organizational transformation.
Knowledge Sharing & Expert Support
Engage in discussions on emerging challenges, share best practices, and benefit from independent expert guidance.
Networking Opportunities
Connect with industry leaders, peers, and external experts.
Results Conference
Each cycle concludes with an immersive multi-day event featuring cutting-edge presentations from leading DSOs and Asset Management experts, interactive roundtables on key challenges, and valuable opportunities to strengthen professional networks.
